Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw also known by her stage name Elizabeth Alice MacGraw has been as a performer, model as well as an animal rights activist in the US. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway '72 are some of her most well-known films. She grew up in an artist family in New York and wanted to take up a profession in the field of art. In the beginning she began as an assistant in photography. Later on she shifted her focus into directing and modeling. Her two first films were noticed and she received an award called the Golden Globe Award of Most Newcomer of the Year. MacGraw became a household name in the year 1970 following her hit movie Love Story. She was considered for nomination to one of the Academy Award and won a Golden Globe. Within three years she had been voted as the top female box office starter in the whole world. The Grauman's Chinese Theater signed her name, hand-prints and foot prints in the year 1972. Alongside The Getaway Convoy Players she played a part in the tv series The Winds of War. Her autobiography Moving Pictures was published in 1991. MacGraw has married thrice.
