Zoe-perry

Perry has the father of actors Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. Her first roles on television included two roles in the role of Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) in The ABC sitcom Roseanne which was played by her mom. Her parents, however, did not let her perform until she turned an adult due to the effects stress would affect their child. Perry acknowledged that she was not at ease in the stage during high school. However, she began acting to connect with new people during her time at Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Perry was able to land small TV roles in Law & Order: Criminal Intent following her graduation. The feeling of homelessness, however, caused her to move back to California again where she began performing in the stage. Perry performed with her mom as part of The Other Place at Broadway at the end of 2013. Kevin McKidd, her father Kevin McKidd performed in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Anna Christie together with her in 2015. Perry appeared in nine episodes of the ABC drama The Family in 2016. In 2017, she played a recurring role on her own ABC drama about politics Scandal starring her father. In addition, she played in the role of a older Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon which was a CBS spin-off from The Big Bang Theory. The actress was chosen for the role despite her close family connection to the character.
