Coleman is a Lancashire native. She studied at Arnold School in Blackpool. As headgirl, she earned straight A marks in her A Levels. When Coleman was asked about her role in Emmerdale she stated that it is regrettable not to have had an experience like the traditional one at university. Coleman was part of a group known as In Yer Space at her school. The group presented Crystal Clear in Edinburgh Festival. A prize was given to her for the performance, while the play received an enthusiastic reception. Coleman was given the part as Jasmine Thomas at Emmerdale while auditioning in drama schools in 2005. Coleman was nominated twice in the year 2007. She won The Best Newcomer in the British Soap Awards and Most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. In 2009, at the British Soap Awards she was awarded in the Best Actress Sexiest Female and Best Dramatic Performance categories. Coleman got an award at the TV Choice Awards nomination for Best Actress. Steven Moffat revealed at a Doctor Who Press Conference on March 21, 2012 that Coleman was set to portray Matt Smith as the Doctor's Companion after Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill and other actors left the series. Moffat said that he chose Coleman for the role of companion because she could perform best alongside Smith. Also, Moffat noted that she talked faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She's been working in the entertainment industry since 1987. The most well-known of her roles was TV. Eva is best known for her roles on the show Doctor. Maria Santos on All My Children and detective Natalia Boa Vistas from CSI Miami. The actress was nominated 2 "Daytime Emmys" in the first role, and she also had the opportunity to express her artistic talents. Apart from being an actor Eva is a philanthropist and an businesswoman. She has been married three times and has a daughter with her second husband.
